Companies seeking a prime spot to locate or expand are looking at Florida. The January issue of Expansion Magazine listed three Florida cities among the top 50 hot spots for manufacturing expansions or relocations. Specifically, Jacksonville, which is located in North Florida, was number one on the list. Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater area was no. 19 and Pensacola sits at no. 38. The list was compiled by 75 site-selection consultants who are experts hired by major corporations to help form their list of possible expansion locations.
